The Leyrat Glory Cognac is a single estate delight. Thanks to a happy oversight that saw a group of barrels being 'forgotten', this eaux-de-vie was left for over 40 years to strengthen and reduce. This means that this is a Cognac that's been allowed to naturally age to the perfect cask strength of 45% ABV.
This occured due to the barrels being stored at the very back of Layrat Cognac's Paradise Cellar. Hidden from view, it was only in recent years that they were re-discovered. In fact, there was no trace of the year the eaux-de-vie within was distilled, but it was surmised that it was a minimum of four decades before being found.
Leyrat Glory is remarkably vivacious and fresh. It's a Fins Bois Cognac that's the perfect choice to bring out on the most special of occasions, or would make the perfect gift for the Cognac connoiseur.
