An Extra Cognac inspired by Roland Bru’s life
Perfectly balanced, this exceptional Cognac is the embodiment of the founder during this period of his life. The Roland Bru Extra Cognac was created in the image of Roland himself and is made exclusively of eaux-de-vie from the finest Cognac terroirs such as the Grande Champagne and Fins Bois and aged in French oak barrels. Aged between 15 and 25 years, it is well matured.
Acquiring the property in 1955, Roland Bru began producing Cognac at the estate in Sireuil, located near the Charente River. The Cognac Maisons owns 20 hectares of vineyards in the Grande Champagne, and 40 hectares in the Fins Bois. They also work in partnership with local wine growers. Run for three generations by the Bru family, the Moisans Distillery has been a site of magic for many years. He decided that to make the best Cognacs, he would have to be quite patient, and so he stored away some of his oldest and finest Cognacs to leave them to age even longer.
How to enjoy
Enjoy this Cognac as a food pairing, try oysters with mirin dressing or seared scallops with mediterranean vegetables tossed with lemon dressing. It should be enjoyed neat to experience the full aromatic potential.
Presentation

Excellent
This was our first Roland Bru, and we found it to be excellent, the best of our recent purchases. Amber, orange, bronze color. Creme Brulee nose. We could have enjoyed the nose for a long time before drinking, but couldn't wait too long to taste. Very smooth in the mouth, almost syrupy. We thought...
Nice XO
Very unique tasting to me. Not sure what I pick up on nose but it is pleasant. Very mild initial palette. Almost watery with a what is missing taste but within seconds the flavor hits. Good spice and nice finish. Definitely has lemon acidic aftertaste which makes up for the initial splash on...
À propos de Roland Bru Cognac
Cognac Roland Bru is a small house with vines in both the regions of Grande Champagne and Fins Bois. The Cellar Master Phillippe Fillon works hard to ensure that the cognacs of Roland Bru are created in the traditional manner faithful to that of the region.
