Based in San Francisco, CA, I grew up on a vineyard in Europe. I am avid wine, and scotch enthusiast, and I have been exploring Cognacs and Armagnacs as a newly found passion.

French wine, and the concept of terroir, captured my interest early on. Naturally, curiosity took me to spirits, in particular Cognac. Today I'm proud to be a member of the Cognac Expert team managing B2B projects, working on Cognac Expert Originals, and writing bottle reviews for the English Blog. I love to taste anything and everything - rum/rhum, whisky(ey), Armagnac, etc. - but no other spirit grabs my attention quite like Cognac, and all of its subtleties and nuance. Santé !

Raised in New Orleans I first tasted cognac in West Berlin in ‘74 and have savored it ever since. It has been almost half a century of pleasure for me, but it is undeniable that I still have a pedestrian palate. I am active on the Cognac Lovers facebook page in order to share my enthusiasm for the drink and to learn more from fellow posters. I discovered Sophie, Max, and the Cognac-Expert team in 2013, I admire their business plan and their efforts on the behalf of the industry. Jim Pearson
Enjoyable but sweeter than expected.
The bottle itself and packaging is not impressive but it intentionally hints at age for the contents within. The color of this cognac is copper, gold and amber hue that dances. At the nose you will get tobacco, leather, flower and a faint hint of sea salt. On the pallet this cognac is really...

But after reading CE's test recommendation, with a splash of...
