Butter pastry with fruit filling and a rich, polish (not Polish) note on the finish. Very well done and good value for money.

Quite a surprise, this one. Such a sweet, fruity opening but none of the youthfulness I’d usually expect from its peer group. Light on wood and spice, so not the most balanced, but very tasty and immensely drinkable..

A little shy on the nose, but bags of flavour. Incredibly fruity with a good whack of spice and cedar. Decent.

Reminds me of an old headteacher of mine. Wooden, a little stern with a touch of nobility. This is tight and unforgiving.

Much lauded as a whisky lover’s cognac, this has confectionary and spice, with some savoury elements. I’m a whisky lover. I don’t see the connection, but can see why people would like this.
