Smell like wet sock, tastes like sea salt
I can't consider if it's good or bad. Since my first impression was like smelling wet socks (which haven't been washed yet) ? Its taste was like sea salt, apple, lemon, with very light and lack of structure. Not smooth, and the aftertaste was a bit short. Feels like drinking Chablis Village...
Extremely solid for its value
Ansac provides a consistent baseline Cognac through its VS line. Its price is unmatched, but is understandable as it's only baseline. Just a tad sweet, pleasantly, and the balance of fruit and spice is excellent on the rocks. I'm biased here, I prefer cognacs that work best on the rocks. Overa...
Nice get and go one
Smell bright tone with notes of apricot and floral. Taste of apricot and vanilla, with little spice, not so complex, and the aftertaste is only moderate, but easy to drink by all means. Not wow much for this one but considering the price, which is the cheapest VSOP I can find (in my area), it...
Cognac by the book
I like its bottle for this price, that's just before I've tried it.. Smell was nice, not too much nor too thin, with fruit notes like apricot and dried fruits. In mouth, got chocolate, little wood note, spice, and only moderate length aftertaste. A little dry with fruity aromas. Not wow, but...
"Trésors de Famille" Le Cognac de Jean-Michel L.95 Grande Champagne
Tasted as part of the Tasting Set No.1: Deep amber with golden reflexes. Intense nose on dried oranges, orange peels, fine spices (nutmeg, fresh grounded pepper), mint and notes of warm pastry. The palate is fullbodied and mouthfilling on sweet, baked bananas glaced with honey in a lively comb...

Good well round
Finished almost a bottle at once by 2 person only. Nice smell of orange, oak, cocoa, coffee, leather and violet. Medium to full body, sweet aromas and smooth in mouth, with notes of leather, oak, wood, orange, plum, vanilla, violet, a hint of pepper, and spice in background. Easy to sip whil...
Michel Forgeron Vieille Réserve Grande Champagne
Tasted from the Tasting Set No.1: Dark golden colour with copper reflexes. Fresh on the nose with citrus notes, green apples and some blond tobacco. The palate is a mix of spices and chocolate - nice intensity, but a little bit rustic. The aftertaste is medium on the same spicy and chocolaty ...
