Description
Pasquet "L'Esprit de Famille" Pierre Cognac
Representing not only the spirit of the family but also of friendship, Pasquet “L’Esprit de Famille '' Pierre is a Petite Champagne Cognac named after Count Pierre de Joyet who was born into French nobility in 1921. Having aged patiently to be bottled for more than half a century in a humid cellar, it was distilled and matured by Pierre de Joyet himself in the town of Jurignac. As exceptional as the man who crafted it, this Cognac is 58 years old and was taken from the barrel on February 12, 2021, filling 377 bottles.
Offering a range of organic and mature Cognacs, Jean Luc Pasquet is a real family affair, meaning their pride and joy lies in the “L’Esprit de Famille'' collection. This range dedicates a Cognac to a family member or friend, with each Cognac symbolic of said person's personal backstory and their role within the family and Maison Pasquet.
Presentation of the bottle
The Pasquet “L’Esprit de Famille” Pierre Cognac arrives in a classic bottle with a ruby red wax seal. Its labelwork and hand-written style font offer an authentic touch and makes the product of “Pierre” even more personable. Stamped with the John Louis Pasquet logo, this Hors d’Age is housed inside a traditional style presentation sleeve highlighting the product’s information in further detail. An elegantly presented Cognac, with it’s very own story waiting to be told through tasting.
How to enjoy
A fine representation of the Petite Champagne Cru, l’Esprit de Famille Pierre Cognac is a well-matured Hors d’Age blend that deserves to be enjoyed in its purity. Pour into a tulip glass, neat - at room temperature. Let the Cognac breathe in the glass for a few moments before taking a sip. The narrow neck of this type of glass allows the aromas to evolve to their utmost potential. Savor the experience as the patchwork of flavors take you on a blissful journey of the senses.

What a cognac!
This is the fifth cask of this 1962 Petite Champagne, and in my opinion, this is the best. The other editions are also good, but this is just more intense in every way. Pierre is a fantastic Petite Champagne, it is mature, but it is still very fresh and rich. The aromas are very present, the concentration...
Superbe
Translated from French: The nose is incredibly evolving and rich; the palate is a delicious mix of flowers, fruits and spices, a slight persistent acidity...; the finish is creamy, pastry-like and has a certain freshness, a nice persistence. Original review: Le nez est d'une évolution et d'une...
Surprise
Never have I enjoyed a bottle of cognac so much. Very rich, sweet fruitiness and a rare taste of lychee, a fruit unique to our southern China, and I was eating lychee and a glass of this cognac really added to the glow and added to the wonderful moment. Good cognac!
SUBLIME
Just a sublime experience. Perfectly balanced, almost endless aftertaste - everything precisely as described in the tasting notes... Just one slight drawback, this is ONLY 500 ml, once you taste it you'll wish it was litres and litres... A perfect example of what an excellent Petite Champagne has...
About Pasquet Cognac
Certified organic Cognac house Pasquet perfectly strikes the balance between the warmth of family tradition and innovative savoir-faire. In order to revive a plot of vines during the 1990s, the Pasquet family reached deep into their ancestral history to rediscover its organic farming methods. It was here that they found a beautiful equilibrium not only in the ecosystem of their vines, but also in the Cognacs themselves. Since being awarded ‘Agriculture Biologique’ status in 1998, they haven’t looked back, continuing to craft small-batch Cognacs that epitomize natural beauty and balance. With versatile ranges such as ‘L’Organic’ and ‘Esprit de la Famille,’ the Pasquet family ensures that every step of production respects the environment, resulting in a very special collection of Cognacs.
