Description
Camus 40 Ans Rarissimes Limited Edition Cognac: One of a Kind
A wonderful 40-year-old Cognac from the House of Camus, the Camus 40 Ans Rarissimes Limited Edition Cognac is a delight from start to finish. Created by Cellar Master Patrick Leger, this is another example of this Maison’s 'Rarissimes', a collection of age-specific Cognacs that are released in strictly limited batches. The eaux-de-vie for this edition were sourced from the Borderies terroir - the smallest of the main crus, and one that's known for producing extremely smooth, well-rounded Cognacs with a distinct aroma of violets.
Matured for over four decades in Limousin oak, this release was eventually bottled in 2014 at a cask strength of 40.9% ABV. To preserve their provenance and quality, the filling of each bottle was overseen by a bailiff. Only 991 bottles have been produced, meaning that if you want to be among the few people in the world who get the chance to taste it, then you'd better be quick!
With the Rarissimes collection, the House of Camus offers an exceptional tasting experience. Each Cognac in the Rarissimes range has been chosen to mark a special vintage, vineyard, or event and their ‘seal of rarity’ distinguishes them beyond the rest. Available exclusively in limited editions, each bottle in the range is sure to deliver a unique tasting experience that can never be repeated.
Presentation of the Bottle
In classic Camus style, the 40 Ans Rarissimes comes in a tall, elegant bottle featuring a deep punt and elegant label. A wooden presentation box completes the package, making this a wonderful gift for any Cognac connoisseur.
How to Enjoy Camus 40 Ans Rarissimes Cognac
The complex tasting notes of this Hors d’Age Cognac are best showcased in a tulip glass, allowing the Cognac to breathe and concentrating the delicate aromas before you take a sip. For a truly indulgent experience, pair with a fine cigar.
