Produced in very small quantities all of the Cognacs produced by Lavenat have been made with love and unquestionable passion. Fronted by Monsieur Lavenat who takes the role of the cellar master, he doesn’t remember a day when Cognac production wasn’t at the centre of his world. His admirable enthusiasm and passion for the craft are embodied through each and every Cognac in his small collection of products.
Presented in a tall and slim, classic Cognacaise bottle, this offering pays homage to the art of simplicity. Sleek in appearance it will fit in well with other mature Cognacs in a collection while holding its own as a truly elegant bottle dripping in heritage.
A very old Cognac of such fine quality and esteemed age merits being served in its purest form - neat and at room temperature. Pour the precious nectar into a tulip glass and let it rest for a few minutes before taking your first sip. This way, the aromas will be given time to evolve and open up to their fullest potential.
I have never tried this cognac or any other cognacs from this producer. This is a 60 year old Fins Bois from a small producer I hadn't heard about before Cognac Expert introduced it to us. This is just the kind of treasures we love. This cognac is quite dark. On nose it gives a mature impression....
