This single vintage eaux-de-vie is from the prestigious Grande Champagne terroir, and has undergone a completely natural aging process within old oak barrels, preserved deep down in the cave cellars at Michel Forgeron. As this 1984 Barrique range Cognac has been matured to cask strength of 53% - it serves as the ultimate digestif to be enjoyed following a delectable dining experience.
Boasting an array of bold aromas, Barrique 1984 Cognac, first expresses a floral nose which is quickly dominated by its woody notes of cedar and oak. It is overall a very round Cognac, that leaves deliciously sweet sensations to meander around the mouth. Whilst the alcohol strength is high it goes unnoticed against the sublime sweetness.
