The Maison Marquis La Fayette has once again produced an audacious, fresh, fruity and floral blend with their La Fayette VS Cognac. It’s an exciting introduction to the collection for those Cognac connoisseurs who are unfamiliar with the estate, promising to excite both nose and palate with its harmonious flavor profile.
This Very Special Cognac is the result of a delicate and very complex production process, involving aging the eaux-de-vie in both new and old oak casks for up to 2 years in order to achieve the right balance of earthy, oaky textures versus the fruity flavors produced by the Ugni Blanc grapes used in the distillation process.
The estate itself is named after Marquis La Fayette, a hero in the American Revolutionary War and a key figure in the French Revolution. Although this Cognac may not be as revolutionary as the Marquis, its flavor profile is just as unique and noteworthy as its namesake.
On the nose, experience the sweet aromas of vanilla, the juicy bursts of fresh pear followed by floral notes and a hint of nutmeg. Upon the first sip, this fresh and fruity Cognac boasts a structured and full mouthfeel, followed by a precise and aromatic finish.
