A.E. DOR Cognac
The vintage eaux-de-vie of A.E. Dor are one the few that are left from before phylloxera struck the region in 1874. Adapting to current developments in the cognac industry and the luxury market in general, the company, today headed by Jacques Riviere, have launched a new range of products that target a wider and more international group of consumers.

History of A.E. Dor
Amédée Eduard Dor gave his name to this cognac distillery. In 1858, as a descendent from an ancient family from Cognac, he finally realized his dream: to become the owner of a small cognac company and follow his passion, which was to make the most exquisite cognac around. Even though his company would never exceed a certain size, the products it would produce over generations to come remained to be of the highest quality until this day.
News, Products & Anecdotes
A very interesting point to note is that A.E. Dor was exempted from the law of 1946, which stated that all cognacs have to have a minimum of 40% in alcohol strength. This meant that A.E. Dor were able to sell their Tres Vieilles Grandes Champagnes, very old vintage cognacs that forcibly loose alcoholic strength over the decades.
