The AE Dor Vieux Napoleon Cognac is a blend of eaux-de-vie from three different terroirs of the region; these are Grande Champagne, Fins Bois, and Borderies. Together these marry beautifully, providing great finesse and length of taste thanks to Grande Champagne, the maturity of Petite Champagne, all livened up with the viacity of those from the Borderies.
The Cognacs of AE Dor need no razamatazz to big them up. The Cognac contained within the traditional style bottles does all the talking necessary... This is a really versatile blend to own. It's delicious to drink neat, in the traditional manner - perhaps warmed for a minute or two in the hand. Or try dropping in a couple of blocks of ice for a subtle taste change. For the really adventurous, place the bottle in the freezer and drink ice cold! However you choose to taste it, this is a great Cognac at a good price. A keeper, that's for sure.
Could be XO
this bottle could almost be XO, at least i don't see (or taste) the difference between ae dor's XO and this one. Perhaps a little more complex even this one.
