Produced by a Cognac house with expertise dating back to 1270, perfecting the process of Cognac production has been the house’s agenda for the past twenty generations. Impressive in its history, its brilliance also extends to its prestigious location residing in 300 hectares within the fine Grande Champagne region. It is this concoction of brilliance that results in specialty Cognac’s that master excellence effortlessly. No exception to that, Frapin 1270 Grande Champagne Cognac is an exceptional tribute to the house's impressive history.
Branded with simplicity, the clean display of this bottle conveys Frapin’s ability to blend twenty generations of history with contemporary style effortlessly. It works perfectly either as an aperitif or digestif, as well as being a great Cognac for all types of mixology. Try it with tonic, sparkling water, or over ice - if you are feeling adventurous you could even place the bottle in the freezer. Naturally, it also makes an excellent base for a cocktail with its delectably smooth finish.
First things first: I love the design makeover! The value is great too of this frapin cognac but i am a bit careful with a great rating for the finish.. but hey it's a younger spirit so no wonder. The palate is very fruity and fresh though
De Frapin familie is al sinds 1270 actief in het Zuidwesten van Frankrijk. Altijd actief geweest op het gebied van wijnbouw, specialiseerden zij zich veel later in distillatie en zijn sindsdien gedurende eenentwintig generaties sterk gebleven! Het domein bezit 340 hectare grond, volledig in de Grande Champagne, waarvan er 240 met wijnstokken zijn beplant. Frapin's thuis in het prachtige kasteel Fontpinot in de stad Segonzac. Het beroemdste familielid was de 16e eeuwse schrijver Francois Rabelais, naar wie een prestigieuze Frapin Cognac fles is genoemd: De Cuvee Rabelais, tamelijk toepasselijk, is het huis van Frapin ook het enige Cognac domein dat toestemming heeft gekregen om zichzelf een Chateau te noemen binnen de gehele Grande Champagne cru. Naast vele andere onderscheidingen, was Frapin de eerste Cognac producent die een multi-vintage blend uitvond, waarbij vintages van verschillende wijnen worden gecombineerd om de perfecte smaak te creëren.
