The Tiffon estate is legendary as it is the largest family-run company within Cognac, the entire production process is controlled on the estate, growing the grapes across 40 hectares of vines in both the Grande Champagne and Fins Bois regions. After harvesting, all distillation takes place on site, with their Cognacs sitting in 15,000 oak casks, each holding 350 liters of Cognac, patiently maturing in one of 13 large warehouses. This particular Tiffon VSOP Cognac is a mainly Fins Bois blend of eaux-de-vie from this high quality house that has it roots in Norway.
With a history that can be traced back to 1875, today's Cognacs are the creation of centuries of knowledge passed down from father to son. On the nose this VSOP is fairly typical of the Fins Bois cru, with an immediate floral fragrance hitting the nostrils as soon as it is poured, on the palate the Cognac is softer and sweeter, with a mellow and rounded mouthfeel of vanilla and hints of spice.
This is a truly versatile VSOP - one that can be enjoyed in many different ways. Ideal neat as a digestif - or for a slightly different take drop in an ice cube or a few drops of water to release the fruity aromas of this breathtaking blend.
It also makes a wonderful long drink with a mixer on a warm summer's day or can be used as the spirit in your favorite cocktail.
We particularly like mixing it with cloudy apple juice, freshly squeezed lemon juice and a few drops of Angostura bitters - a refreshing and crisp cocktail for those summer scorchers.

With strong ties to the Scandinavian country of Norway, the history of Cognac Tiffon dates back to 1875. Tiffon is to this day a family run business, and is based at the beautiful family home, the Chateau de Triac, just 5 kms from the town of Jarnac. The Chateau itself has a battle-scarred and convoluted history, dating back to the 11th century, which includes being razed to the ground by fires and completely demolished during the Hundred Years’ War. Today, the family grows 40 hectares of Grande Champagne and Fins Bois vines, overseen by cellar master Richard Braastad, who comes from an old cognac producers’ family.
