A pleasant surprise
Exceptional 90 /100
Only the second time I have had a borderies cognac and what a nice surprise. Very light in color but it really caught my eye(one of my favorite things to do), nose was floral with fruit notes to it. On the palate not overpowering but this cognac has a definite honey flavor with a spicy taste further in the back of the mouth. As a person who is enjoying vintage cognac more and more both flavors really impressed me with perfect balance. The aftertaste was pretty consistent after each sip, not too long but very enjoyable. All in all the experience was very good and it is well worth buying a bottle of Giboin Borderies Vintage '97 it is a very nice price! One of the smoothest cognacs I have ever had!
