Omschrijving
Merlet Sélection Saint Sauvant Blend No 2 Cognac
A delightfully intense and complex Cognac, the Merlet Sélection Saint Sauvant Blend No 2 Cognac is a part of a limited-edition selection. With each batch boasting unique qualities, number 2 in the range was bottled in 2016. The result of an expert and rigorous selection of Cognacs held within the family's select reserves. For a Cognac of this exceptional quality, it is excellent value for money. One for those that appreciate a prestigious Cognac.
This delightful cognac has been created by a blend of 12% very old cognac. 30.4% from 10-year-old Petite Champagne and 10.2% from Grande Champagne. 10.7% is then from Fins Bois 2001, 10.2% from Petite Champagne 1993, 10.1% from Fins Bois 1992, 4% from Borderies 1984. 8% has been derived from blended Petite Champagne 1971 and 1973 and, finally, 3% is made up from Fins Bois eaux-de-vie from 1948. It’s easy to see how the finished result is of such superb quality.
Presentation of the bottle
A nod to the brilliance that lies beneath it, the bottle instantly conveys sublime sophistication. Silver swirl and bold, black serif type allows the display to stand out, whilst portraying a charming effortlessness. Certainly, one that will suit the front of a Cognac cabinet or the center of a dining table expertly.
How to enjoy
Perfect to enjoy neat, to allow a journey through the impressive range of exceptional Cognacs. You might want to add a dash of water, inviting the delicious aromas to the surface.

This is a blend consisting of young and old cognacs from different crus. The oldest elements are from 1948. This is not a super smooth and very elegant cognac, rather a cognac that is a bit wild. It is quite inviting on the nose with both fruity and floral tones. In the mouth it is much more wild...
Over Merlet Cognac
With a traceable history dating back to 1850, the Merlet family have continued to produce cognac, alongside a continually growing range of other products, to the current day. Headed today by Gilles Merlet, his sons Pierre and Luc joined the business a few years back, bringing with them a new generation of enthusiasm and direction. Although the house Distillerie Merlet & Fils originally produced eaux-de-vie for some of the most prestigious cognac houses in the world of cognac, they are now famous in their own right, not only for their quality cognacs, but for their innovative range of other products that sell around the globe.
