Beschreibung

Tesseron Lot N°29 XO Exception Cognac

The Tesseron Lot No 29 Exception is a well-aged blend, truly worthy of its name. A unique XO, made up of Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie - this Cognac’s maturation process has passed through at least three generations of the Tesseron family who have dedicated their passion and love for Cognac through the family business. With fresh and floral fragrances, Lot No 29 unveils velvety aromas of mocha chocolate alongside dried fruit and hints of honey. Its prevailing rancio is characterized by the decades spent in old oak barrels - a true jewel of the Grande Champagne cru.

With years of know-how and expertise behind them, the Tesseron family are producers of both wine and Cognac. Specializing in the curation of well-aged Cognacs, the brand is recognised for its fine quality offerings that blend exquisite eaux-de-vie from the Cognac regions most exclusive appellations.

Presented in a simple and elegant decanter design, Tesseron Lot No 29 XO is accompanied by a bespoke burnt orange display box to match. A Cognac for the connoisseur, this mature blend is a top quality, rare gem of a Cognac that should be saved for special occasions.

Take the tasting experience up a notch by adding one or two ice cubes to the bottom of the glass. Serve as a digestive, paired with a rich chocolatey dessert for a sensational sensory experience like no other.

Balance

Look, I have drunk more Cognac / Brandy than I care to mention!!! In this instance, in regard to the Lot: 29 , may I say - it is sublime...Alas!...there are some critiques - namely, Age! There is definitely an age where a spirit regresses to a wine like state and this is one of them. Probably 50 to 60 years is the maximum in which the fluid can maintain its integrity.

Über Tesseron Cognac

Tesseron Cognac specializes in high-end Cognac, exclusively producing “XO and beyond” blends from their ancestral home in Chateauneuf-sur-Charente, which lies between Cognac and Angouleme. When founder Abel Tesseron, whose face features on the company’s logo, acquired the property in the late 19th century, he patiently conserved his stocks of eaux-de-vie in the 12th-century crypt located deep underneath the domain, selling his matured masterpieces to various larger Cognac houses. These reserved and rare stocks have become legendary amongst Cognac connoisseurs the world over. It was, however, only in 2003 that the fourth generation of Tesserons made the decision to release a range under their own name, armed with an unrivalled Cognac craftsmanship and fueled by the legacy left by their grandfather, the iconic brand Tesseron Cognac was born.

The Tesserons are also active in wine production, owning the esteemed Chateau Pontet-Canet, a Pauillac classified property producing Grand Cru Classé Bordeaux Wine.
