We tasted this first time when visiting Cognac some years back. It was a very pleasant surprise so I had to buy it.
This cognac has a deep somewhat dark color. It is initially a bit shy on the nose, but it opens up after some time in the glass. Then it is beautiful with very pleasant old notes of wood and furniture polish. I also find quite some spices. In mouth it is tasteful and elegant. It has a nice complexity. I almost sit laughing as I taste it, this is good and harmonic. You need some volume to capture it all. The finish is long and beautiful. This is a fantastic cognac, but you need to spend time to capture it all. I believe this should be served alone, and not together with several other cognacs. My only issue it the cost of a new bottle.
