Floral and dry

Cold into the glass this is intensely floral and even as it warms up it gives up very little fruit. It’s charming though and the nose drew an exclamation of delight from my non drinking other half. With warmth there’s caramel and candied fruit, a little oak and a trace of cinnamon. It’s very pleasant.
Floral and drying on the palate with surprising oak and spice notes. Not sweet at all, but it has a pleasant flavour development that makes it a very enjoyable drink.
Very dry finish. Plenty of warm spice, almost gentle pepper.
The almost general lack of sweetness might not appeal to everyone, but I really like it. It’s very easy drinking.
