Armagnac Clés des Ducs Trilogie

The Armagnac Cles des Ducs Trilogy comes very close to my "reference cognac" Ordonneau Tres Vieille Reserve, it is in the same price segment. I’m rather new to my exploration of exciting world of cognac. I’m confident that no matter where my journey takes me this gem will remain a favorite. The nose is enticing, when left to rest in the mouth it wraps the tongue with tingly blanket of vanilla and fruit. The finish is amazing.

… won best Armagnac in 2018 Nose: Sweet, caramelized banana, vanilla, banana’s foster, butter cream. Little bit of dank, musty rancio note. Has changed significantly from when opened a couple weeks ago when it was much darker, wood and mushroom and walnut. Now I’m having a hard time detecting...

Just the one you don't want to share... From the first moment it was warm and friendly as if waited for me. Loved it neat, away from any dining table or friends to share opinions with. A great correlation between nose and mouth, like you would expect from such a bottle. Happy new year

I love the smell. The taste is less complex as I hoped for. I felt this one works better with ice or other mixers. I can't stop nosing it, but when it hits my tongue it is a little underwhelming. Great value for money.

I have had the pleasure of drinking many quality Armagnac and have had a favourite that is a 25 years old Bas Armagnac. After receiving this bottle I have a new favourite. The nose, the taste and the finish are all exquisite. The flowers, vanilla, fruit and wood give this Armagnac a complexity rarely...

It was a first Armagnac I've tasted. Enjoyed it a lot and got exactly what I wanted - flower and fruity aromas, and smooth.

I still drink relatively little Armagnac brandy, but this bottle was really surprising and very much to our liking. The plum preserves and hundred flowers aromas were very appealing, with a woody, mellow and lubricious finish. Good brandy.
