Description
A Fins Bois organically produced Cognac aged over two decades
A well-aged Cognac made from 100% organically-grown Ugni blanc grapes, the Brard Blanchard Vieille Reserve Cognac is a result of high-quality Ugni blanc that is organically-grown in the fine region of Fins Bois. The Cognac has undergone double distillation in the property’s Charentais still, and has slept in Limousin oak barrels between 20 to 22 years.
“Reserve” Cognac has to be aged for at least 10 years, and is often stored in the “Paradis” cellars of the house where the oldest and most valuable barrels can be found. However, in most cases, they are much older than required.
For almost four generations, the family of the Domaine Brard Blanchard has worked on the vineyard. They began in 1972 with polyculture, vines, and dairy until 1976 when they focused all of their efforts into viticulture and marketing. The vines have always been grown organically, practicing manual harvest for every product. The estate is located on the southern slopes that border the Charente.
Serving Suggestions
The Cognac can be enjoyed as a digestif at room temperature. It will taste best in a tulip glass.
Presentation of the bottle
The Cognac comes in a nice, sleek and slim bottle with gold embellishment .
