Color: This Cognac presents itself in a captivating amber hue. The color, rich and vibrant, draws the eye and sets the stage for the indulgent experience that is to follow.

Nose: The nose of this Cognac is truly a rich tapestry of scents. It reveals a pronounced rancio character, hinting at the extended aging process it has gone through. Predominantly, the aromas are reminiscent of blond tobacco, suggesting a deep, smoky quality. This is complemented by the warm undertones of leather, providing an added layer of complexity. The scent of nuts adds a touch of earthiness, while dried fruits contribute a faint whisper of sweetness. The nose concludes with a memorable hint of liquorice wood, delivering a subtle yet intriguing spicy note.

Palate: On the palate, the Cognac feels impressively soft and well-balanced. This seamless blend creates a harmonious dance between the elements that it comprises. Very fine tannins are present, lending an elegant structure and mouthfeel to the Cognac. The finish, masterfully combining a range of flavors, truly makes this Cognac stand out. Toffee notes provide a sweet, buttery touch, which is beautifully juxtaposed with the slightly bitter flavors of cocoa and chocolate. A hint of cinnamon gives the finish a warm, spicy undertone, leaving a lingering sense of comfort and satisfaction on the palate.

The Mauxion Legacy

Steeped in history, the Mauxion family's legacy dates back to 1575, with an unbroken lineage of Cognac producers since 1743. Thirteen generations of the Mauxion family have taken pride in creating high-class, quality eaux-de-vie from their estate in Houlette.

The uniqueness of Mauxion Selection lies in their range of single cru expressions, originating from the prestigious terroirs of Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, Fins Bois, Bons Bois, and Bois Ordinaries. Preserving the full-bodied flavor of their eaux-de-vie, Mauxion Selection Cognac is bottled at cask strength without any blending or reduction. This ensures an exceptional complexity and depth in every drop of their Cognac.

How to enjoy

Mauxion Selection XO Fins Bois Cognac is best appreciated neat or on the rocks to fully savor its rich, complex palate. Pour it gently into a tulip glass and let it rest a few minutes before taking the first sip; this allows the Cognac to breathe and the subtle layers of flavor to fully unfurl.

About Mauxion Selection Cognac

Uniquely, Mauxion Selection offers a range of single cru expressions, available a range of sizes.
