Lassalle Baqué has a rich history dating back to 1884 when Valérien Morlan, a winemaker and Armagnac producer, became the owner of the château in Montréal du Gers.
The Morlan family has been passing down their expertise and tradition in Armagnac-making from generation to generation. Today, Rémi Brocardo continues the legacy that has been passed down to him, with a passion for authenticity and a deep respect for the terroir.
Located in the heart of Armagnac, in the region of "La Ténarèze", the hilly landscape is a combination of boulbène soil, rich in loam, and clay-limestone soil.
At Lassalle Baqué, these two types of soil produce eaux-de-vie with distinct aromatic characteristics that are ideal for blending. On the family property, the Baco, Folle Blanche, and Ugni Blanc grape varieties were once grown and distilled. Today, Ugni Blanc is the king of the estate, but Baco has also made a comeback with a new planting in 2021.
