Description

Dobbé Cognac XO Cognac

The Dobbe XO Cognac provides a wonderful taste explosion, and one that will have you marveling at how long a finish can actually last. Rich and velvety, it should only be enjoyed when you truly have the time to savor such a marvel - as the saying goes, the best things should never be rushed. Matured in oak barrels for at least 6 years - although the quality suggests it has been aged for much longer.

Dating back to 1787, Dobbé Cognac is a true family affair of eight generations. Their estate covers 35 hectares, two-thirds of which cover the undulating hills of the Petite Champagne renowned for producing fine eaux-de-vie. The other third is located in Dompierre, in the Fins Bois along the banks of the Charente. They plant grapes mainly of the Ugni Blanc variety to produce very fine and fruity Cognacs. A combination of smooth eaux-de-vie from the Petite Champagne, and full-bodied eaux-de-vie from the Fins Bois with the aroma of pressed grapes, you have the likes of the Dobbé XO.

How to serve

Delightful on the eye as well as the palate, as well as being the perfect digestif, many find its bold flavor the ideal accompaniment to a strong chocolate dessert or tarte tatin. Read more about our favorite Cognac dessert pairings on our blog.

For those who simply like to sip and enjoy without the distraction of other food flavors on the palate, can we dare suggest that you try with a single block of ice for a subtle, yet wonderful, perspective on the senses.

Gift box and carafe of the DOBBE XO
