Growth area & soil: Petite Champagne
DOBBÉ Cognac 10 Years «Brut de Fût» is a Cognac for connoisseurs. It is produced exclusively in the Petite Champagne growing area, one of the most regarded areas for Cognac production. Recognizable by its golden amber color, this Cognac is extremely well balanced. And even though it has a higher alcohol volume than most Cognacs, it is very smooth. This 700ml bottle comes in a beautiful round gift box, making this a perfect gift for anyone who loves discovering new tastes
A good XO, for its price
First of all the box, the bottle and labels on it look extremely good. The rich amber color shows the age of this cognac. On the nose I smelt the smells of nuts, mostly walnut. This was the first cognac where I had this smell, I really liked it. On the palate it was actually not that great as on the nose, I felt the taste of walnut just a little, with some woody hints. This cognac has 43% ABV so it comes out on the taste, but aggressively. The aftertaste was long, and delightful, and again, thankfully the taste of walnut came back. I think this cognac is good value for its price.
