Eye: Deep sunset orange.

Nose: Playful wildflowers and springtime florals (linden, dandelion, daisy) are perfectly balanced by sweet pears, apricot and a touch of vanilla.

Palate: Peaches, orange zest, apples and florals emerge all at once. The medium-length finish is bright with a distant hint of tannins.

Chateau de Montifaud Prestige Premium Cognac: Discover the Grande Champagne

The eaux-de-vie for the Chateau de Montifaud Prestige Premium Cognac have been aged for a minimum of two years and produced exclusively from Ugni Blanc grapes harvested in the Grande Champagne. Bottles from this small artisan house offer superb value for money - and this young Cognac is certainly no exception to the rule. Bright and floral, it displays the very best Premier Cru characteristics. The chalky soils of the Grande Champagne allow the grapevines to reach deep and extract water even during hot summers, and the undulating hills give just the right amount of exposure to the elements. These factors combine to create high-acidity grapes bursting with flavor - perfect for distilling quality eaux-de-vie.

The Vallet family have been the guardians of Château de Montifaud Cognac for six generations and are today responsible for 125 hectares of vineyards across the Grande and Petite Champagne regions. Specializing in traditional production methods, the family chooses to distil only Ugni Blanc grapes and always age their Cognacs longer than required by law.

Presentation of the Bottle

The tall, elegant bottle features a deep punt and silver foil for a touch of luxury, while the oval cream-colored label perfectly matches the elegant presentation box. This would make a wonderful gift for any Cognac lover, or for someone who wants to discover the Grande Champagne at a reasonable price.

How to Enjoy Chateau de Montifaud Prestige Cognac

This young Cognac can be enjoyed neat as either an aperitif or a digestif. Although it’s wonderful at room temperature, you could also add some ice or a splash of cold water for a lighter taste sensation.

About Château de Montifaud

Owned by the family Vallet for six generations, Chateau de Montifaud Cognac boasts 125 hectares of vineyards that are located in both the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne growing regions. The house produces a large, high quality range of cognacs – including various vintages from years that have had an exceptional harvest. One family tradition that Cognac Chateau Montifaud is proud to follow, is that of when a new baby boy is born to the head of the cognac house, that part of the cognac created from that year’s harvest is set to one side. This is kept for a varying number of years, but may only be sold by future generations.
