Description

Domaine du Chêne Jean Doussoux VS Sélection: a Treasure from the Bons Bois

From the world-renowned Jean Doussoux Distillery, the Domaine du Chêne Jean Doussoux VS Sélection Cognac has been crafted using only grapes of the Ugni Blanc variety. Blended by Jean-Marie Baillif, it takes its eaux-de-vie from the Bons Bois terroir, which is often dominated by an earthy, rustic character. Here they have been aged for a minimum of two years, giving this expression a sumptuous fruity nose followed by a bold and sweet palate; the distillery’s use of Limousin oak barrels during the process have allowed it to develop a particularly brilliant color and a finish of spicy oak.

Dominated by sandy soil and interspersed with pine forest, the Bons Bois area produces eaux-de-vie as striking as its landscape. Not refined, perhaps, but always individual. It’s quite rare to find a bottling from this cru, so make sure to enjoy every sip.

Jean Doussoux’s award-winning distillery produces some of the finest Cognacs by the Charente and has been doing so since 1865. They have been working for more than 15 years to protect the environment with their Cognac production, focusing on sustainable practices from vine to bottle.

Presentation of the Bottle

Formed in the classic Jean Doussoux style, this tall bottle features a deep punt and a slim neck. The label is white with gold lettering, matching the gold foil. The overall impression is as elegant as the liquid inside.

How to Enjoy

This lively and expressive VS can be enjoyed neat, over ice, or even with sparkling water in a long drink to reveal its fruity character.
