Description
A rare Fins Bois Vintage from 1978
Forming part of the prestigious house’s collection of vintages, the Maxime Trijol Vintage 1978 hails from the Fins Bois cru making it a fruity cognac. It is the synthesis of 160 years of cognac-making history from the house, as well as six generations of family passion. Every stage of the production process is managed in-house to deliver a spirit of superior quality.
As with all Vintage cognacs, this individually numbered bottle has been approved by the Bureau National Interprofessionnel du Cognac to ensure absolute authenticity. This particular edition has been matured for 40 years in Limousin oak barrels, bringing forth an exceptional depth of flavor and length.
Harnessing both the maritime climate and the Fine Bois’s combination of clay, stone and limestone soil, this cognac is characteristically well-rounded and supple. This millésime is a journey through time and a snapshot into the 1978 single, slow-ripened harvest, making it an excellent gift to mark a special date or anniversary. The sensorial journey starts with a heady mix of marmalade, candied quince and vanilla on the nose, evolving towards subtle woody accords and a delicate rancio.
