Nose: Complex; a wonderful mélange of vanilla, saffron, leather and cinnamon. The finish on the nose evokes aromas of nutmeg, moss, coffee and jasmine. It is particularly fragrant.

Jubilant citrus tones yield to the softer redolent aroma of acacia. Tangy cherry nuances present a youth still burning with adventure, tempered by the sharp notes of yellow-fleshed grapefruit.
No tasting note on Pierre Ferrand 1914 Vintage Millésime from our side, but here is a review by Filbert & Gaillard: "Nice bronze colour, nose conists of dark fruits, remarkable freshness and finally a strong, solid rancio. In the mouth: Exceptional explosion of a wide range of fruit, fresh."

Palate: tender, almost 'fleshy', with strong tones of spicy grape, plum, and mirabelle plum.
