Description
Gautier Eden Cognac: the Epitome of Luxury
The most exclusive product from the house of Gautier, Gautier Eden Cognac comprises a blend of Fins Bois, Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne vintage eaux-de-vie. This delightful creation is the product of some of the very best casks from Gautier's Paradis cellar, crafted by the skilful hands of Cellar Master Isabelle Couprie. Eden is a Cognac that is the epitome of luxury; resting in its sheltered cellar hideaway, the humid riverside temperature at Maison Gautier allowed this expression to develop an extraordinary depth of aroma and flavor. Simply wonderful.
Based on the Osme river in the town of Aigre, Gautier Cognac is amongst the oldest Cognac houses. Their casks lay resting in an 18th-century watermill, providing a humid microclimate that creates a pronounced flavor. The Gautier family are passionate about the skill of aging; their relationship with the importance of wood goes back to their 17th-century ancestors who were forest owners near Tronçais. In 1644, Charles Gautier married Jacquette Brochet, a winemaker's daughter, bringing together the skills and expertise of two families to create Gautier Cognac.
Maison Gautier unites the history of Cognac production with a modern view of the market of today, catering to both professional connoisseurs as well as new Cognac enthusiasts who like to experiment. While the people working at this ancient Cognac house may stick to tradition, they also know how to look to the future.
Presentation of the Bottle
Gautier Eden Cognac is presented in a bold curved decanter with an elegantly etched medallion depicting Adam and Eve. Each decanter is individually numbered and presented in a display case crafted from teak - a precious dark wood from Burma - adorned with a special guilloche decoration.
How to Enjoy Gautier Eden Cognac
This rare and complex blend of the oldest reserves from Maison Gautier is best enjoyed neat at room temperature. Pour into a tulip glass and allow the Cognac to rest for a moment before taking a sip; this will allow the most complex aromas to develop for a fuller tasting experience. For an added element of luxury, enjoy alongside an espresso after a rich dinner - or even with a cigar.
