Description
Daviaud Extra Old Cognac
Daviaud Extra Old Cognac is a beautifully matured jewel of the premier cru. Produced entirely from Ugni-Blanc grapes, the eaux-de-vie was then distilled and aged for decades before being ready for bottling on the 12th of January 2018.
Based in Segonzac, Maison Daviaud’s vineyards cover 40 hectares of Grande Champagne vineyards. Quality and prestige are at the forefront of this brand’s production values. With a history dating back to 1885, there is no doubt that the current family members fronting Daviaud today are well equipped with a wealth of savoir-faire that’s been developed and passed on through the generations.
Presentation of the bottle
Showcased in a classic Cognac bottle to embody the traditional nectar it beholds, golden and amber accents inject even further elegance to the presentation with style. The neck of the bottle features a rope cord that attaches to the cork sealing the bottle. Meanwhile, the label hand-writes details of the Cognac and the Cellar Master’s signature emphasizing its authenticity as well as the brand’s commitment to preserving history. Arriving with a wooden presentation case, this Cognac is a lavished gift to a spirit lover.
How to enjoy
Daviaud Vieille Extra Old Cognac is best appreciated in its purest form, neat at room temperature. We recommend pouring the Cognac into tulip glasses and letting it rest for a few minutes before commencing the tasting. To alter the experience slightly try serving this well-aged offering on the rocks or with a splash of mineral water.

The heat continues into the finish. As the palate adjusts it settles and opens up a bit. Plenty of...
Nice offering
Lovely stone fruits and peach on the nose initially. As it opens, those fruit notes fade, and very subtle oak appears. A rather elegant nose, but pleasant, with nothing jumping out at you. As it opens more, the fruits do return. It is really mouth-coating and full-bodied in the mouth, with the...
