Le Plantis des Vallées VSOP Cognac from the Fins Bois
Drawing on seven generations of savoir-faire passed from father to son, the Queron family present their Le Plantis des Vallées VSOP Cognac. Grown exclusively with Ugni Blanc grapes on their estate in the Fins Bois, it has been aged for 8 years in oak barrels - far longer than the required amount.
Typically, Cognacs grown in the Fins Bois terroir are strong and full, with a touch of the maritime climate nearby. As of 2015, the family have been awarded the Organic Farming label on their Charentais wine. The switch was a crucial part of maintaining their rich wine quality.
This very Cognac has been crafted by the seventh generation, Antoine Queron, who has learnt everything he knows through his father.
Best served as an aperitif with tonic as a long drink, or also in a cocktail. You can also use this cocktail for sauces and flambéing. Serve at room temperature, or over ice.
