Description
Giboin Borderies Vintage 2002 Borderies Cognac
Discover the Giboin 2002 Millesime Cognac, a tremendous vintage that showcases the unique floral and candied eaux-de-vie of the Borderies cru. Since 1994, Giboin has dedicated two casks to be vintage Cognacs, and this Cognac is aged for a minimum of 20 years to create an unforgettable sensory experience.
Reflecting the year of harvest and the barrel of ageing, the vintage Cognacs are unfiltered and offer a diverse range of flavors and aromas that are unique to each bottling. The Giboin 2002 Millesime Cognac, made from the single grape variety ugni blanc, captures the essence of the Cognac region's smallest cru, the Borderies.
Bottled at 45.5% abv and unchill-filtered, this Cognac boasts a beautiful deep amber color, capturing the scents of summer with wild flower and pear aromas on the nose. On the palate, you'll discover the roundness and greediness of the Borderies, with a hint of violet candy for a truly exceptional taste experience.
Experience the rich and complex flavors of the Giboin 2002 Millesime Cognac, a masterpiece of Cognac-making that captures the essence of the Borderies cru.
About Giboin Cognac
Giboin is an expert producer of both Cognac and Pineau de Charentes, with 60 acres (24 hectars) of vineyards in both the Borderies and Fins Bois Cognac growing areas of the Charente. This family run, traditional brand has a history stretching back to the early part of the nineteenth century, and exclusively produces a very limited amount of Cognac per year. Using predominantly Ugni Blanc grapes, but Merlot too, Giboin strives to remain committed to the methods used by the family’s founders, and for a small house curates a surprisingly versatile and wide range of Cognac and Pineau products.
