A Vintage Grande Champagne Cognac from 1973
The single cask, Delamain Vintage 1973 Grande Champagne Cognac is, as the name suggests, created from eaux-de-vie from the premier cru harvest of 1973. Matured for around 4 decades before it is bottled, the Delamain Vintage 1973 Cognac has been aged in their best cellars on the banks of the Charente, with only 396 bottles made of this Vintage. It has been reduced slowly to 40% ABV, and made with Ugni Blanc grapes from the Premier Cru.
The Delamain Millésime 1973 has been double distilled in the traditional method in large stills. A Delamain Vintage is known for intense qualities following many years of aging, and its optimal conditions in the vineyards. These include a maritime climate, chalky soil and sun exposure. For anyone who wants the opportunity to own a Grande Champagne Cognac that's elegant, fruity, offers the taste of rancio, and an opportunity to taste a little bit of history, then this is your chance.
How to serve the Delamain 1973 Vintage
A wonderful Cognac to bring out on a super-special occasion. Or, if you want to see the face of a Cognac connoisseur light up in delight, then consider purchasing this for them as a gift. We promise they'll love you forever...
As with all Delamain bottles, they feature a deep punt in the bottom. The bottle is simple, with a sleek silver finish on the label and seal. This Vintage arrives in a matching high-quality Delamain navy and silver presentation sleeve, making it the perfect gift.
