Description

Delamain Témoignage M. Dauge Collection Pléiade Cognac

Discover a rare gem in the world of cognac with the TÉMOIGNAGE M. DAUGE COLLECTION PLÉIADE DELAMAIN Limited Edition. Embrace an exclusive experience steeped in heritage and meticulous craftsmanship - because when we say "limited edition", we truly mean it.

This singular cognac is the life's work of Mr. Dauge, the 85-year-old mastermind behind a 10-hectare vineyard in Bourg-Charente, nestled within the illustrious Grande Champagne region - the first and finest growth of Cognac. Here, the left bank of the Charente River shapes the character of his sublime creation.

Our tale begins in 1969, when Mr. Dauge, using a historic 6 hl still – dormant since 1914 – distilled this exceptional cognac. The still was lovingly refurbished for the task and saw its last use with this particular distillation before retiring for a larger successor.

The TÉMOIGNAGE M. DAUGE was then left to mature gracefully in Mr. Dauge's cellar. Here, under the influence of the river, high humidity worked its magic. The result is a naturally reduced cognac, rounded and full of subtlety, delicacy, and fruity notes, yet maintaining an undeniable lightness. This cognac's aging journey started in a 600-litre redwood barrel, which offered a gentle initiation into maturity without the excessive influence of tannins. It then continued its maturation in a 400-litre barrel, before finally settling in 30L dame-Jeanne casks in Jarnac, locking in its unique aromatic profile.

This story of time and passion found its climax when Dominique Touteau, the Cellar Master at Delamain, fell head over heels for this elegant and nuanced creation. Now, this extraordinary tale is ready to be part of your cognac collection.

Don't miss out on the opportunity to add this sublime testament to the art of cognac making to your collection. It's not just a bottle of cognac - it's a narrative, a chronicle of a historic still's last hurrah, and a love letter to the Grande Champagne region. Experience the TÉMOIGNAGE M. DAUGE COLLECTION PLÉIADE DELAMAIN Limited Edition today - because true connoisseurs know that in the world of cognac, patience is more than just a virtue - it's a flavor.

About Delamain Cognac

With an incredibly old family tradition, Delamain Cognac (et Cie) makes for an exciting Cognac house with roots dating back to the early 1600s! The family tree couldn't be more complicated, and yet the Delamain brand has managed to survive since its creation in 1762. This is a Cognac house that is unapologetic when it comes to quality, selecting only the very best from its suppliers in order to create its own exclusive Grande Champagne products. With the British aristocracy having influenced the Delamains for generations, their Cognacs such as Delamain Le Voyage, Tres Venerable, and the Grande Champagne Vesper - are authentically catered for blue blood!
