Description
A Dark and Luxurious Pineau: André Petit Pineau Rouge
Harvesting the Pineau des Charentes requires a lot of attention, and André Petit Pineau des Charentes Rouge is a beautiful example of their craft. The Red Pineau has a beautiful array of red fruit aromas and flavors, as shown by its ruby red hue. The Andre Petit red Pineau ages particularly well, but they seek above all that it retain the freshness of its red fruit aromas.
The grapes are harvested once they are over-ripened, and then the juice is then transformed into a Rassis Cognac. This is a regional special that must be savored at least once in your life. It is created using a combination of 50% Merlot grapes, and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Pineau des Charentes is a fortified wine made from slightly fermented and matured grape juice, with Cognac eau-de-vie then added.
If you haven’t discovered it yet, this is your time to branch out into the other treasures from the Charente region. This Pineau has been produced following very old methods. The grapes are harvested by hand and distilled following the teachings of his grandparents. In the distillation, they do not use any machines to separate alcohol - they trust their noses alone. This family producer are wine growers who develop a Pineau with a pronounced style following their feelings and tastes.
The Berneuil estate is home to André Petit Cognac, and their savoir-faire has been passed down from father to son for generations. Delving deep into the stocks of his father and grandfather, Jacques Petit produces the finest Pineau and Cognac using centuries-old methodology.
Presentation of the bottle

Serving Suggestions
Serve as the Charente residents would themselves: as a chilled apéritif or with dessert. Drink it chilled or over ice. They can be consumed with foie gras, Roquefort and goats cheese - but in reality, it is versatile for many occasions.
