Camus Ile de Re Double Matured Cognac is an extraordinary blend of eaux-de-vies grown on the small island if Ile de Re, in the most westerly part of the Cognac region. Because of the strong Atlantic winds, grapes grown here are highly influenced by the sea and weather. The resulting tastes produced are unique - inimitable eaux-de-vie with an island character balanced by fruity notes and outstanding smoothness.
Yet further character is brought to the cognac due to its double maturation. After first ageing in the island's cellars, this cognac undergoes a second maturation in old “red” barrels, which have undergone a special toasting process at the cooperage, developed by Camus's Cellar Master. Best enjoyed ver ice, or with a dash of water, the smoky character and the maritime influence will express themselves to the full, providing the lucky drinker with a truly memorable and unique tasting experience.
