Distillerie Du Peyrat Organic XO Cognac: an Artisanal Organic Creation
The Distillerie du Peyrat Organic XO Cognac is a 100% organic creation - certified by Ecocert and the USDA organic standards - from this renowned artisan house. Although it is a blend of Cognacs from various terroirs, most of the eaux-de-vie that have gone into making this delicious XO are from Petite Champagne, resulting in a Cognac with a real diversity of aromas - including chocolate, tobacco, saffron, and leather. Aged for a minimum of twelve years in French oak, it exudes maturity and elegance from start to finish.
Thanks to the extended aging period, this is a Cognac that really does showcase how pronounced rancio flavors can add to the tasting experience. Sit back, sip and relax - this expression deserves time, and your full attention.
Awards and Accolades
In December 2013, this Cognac was given the honor of being rated as one of the 50 best spirits in the world by Wine Enthusiast Magazine in the USA. Awarded a total of 97 points, it was also the highest-rated Cognac on the list.
Presentation of the Bottle
The weighty decanter is both bold and elegant at the same time; with its square shape and thick base, it certainly feels like a Cognac of quality in your hand, while the delicate gold designs on the glass and gold-topped stopper carry a classic elegance.
How to Enjoy Distillerie Du Peyrat Organic XO Cognac
This Cognac is best enjoyed as a digestif with a drop of water to fully bring out the most delicate aromas. After pouring, allow your Cognac to rest for 30 seconds, letting the flavours concentrate and fully develop before taking a sip.
