How to enjoy
To experience such a fine and well-aged Cognac in all its potential, we recommend serving Extra Old XO neat at room temperature. Try adding a few ice cubes to the glass if you’re seeking a more refreshing serving - this will elongate the tasting slightly too. Sit back, relax and make a toast - to great Cognac. Cheers!

"The best hundred bucks you'll spend. A 20-year old Cognac that's in perfect harmony and at the peak of its evolution. The most apt descriptor, by a country mile: luscious."

"The opening whiff offers aromas of toasted almonds and apple butter...middle stage adds delicate aromas of old oak ...and on the last nosing; two decades of maturation in small oak barrels. On the palate the multi-layered flavors glide along in perfect harmony. The finish is long, oaky sweet, and a bit caramel-like."

Easy drinking XO
My review relates to a bottle from 2013. Current version might differ. This is a cognac with a dark color, on the nose there are a lot of old tones. I don't think you find this in the current version. It is very smooth in the mouth. The body has a great presence. It is not very complicated, but...
About Brillet J R Cognac
Proud of its family tradition, Brillet Cognac insists that the history is entirely linked to that of cognac. As early on as 1656, Guy Brillet installed his first alembic (the classic still) at his property in the Grande Champagne. This was the introduction of the double distillation process that creates cognac to this day. The Brillets live off their philosophy that things made with care are more valuable, sticking to traditional techniques of production and packaging. Their motto is not to impress through high maintenance or expensive containers, but rather through a humble and high quality aesthetic: a real family business!
