Description
Chateau de Montifaud VSOP Petite Champagne Cognac
As the estate's best seller, this VSOP encapsulates the perfect balance and structure, delivering an exceptional length on the palate that is both impressive and memorable. Crafted from the Heart of Petite Champagne. This exquisite Cognac is a blend of eaux-de-vie exclusively sourced from the Petite Champagne region, known for its optimal soil conditions that yield grapes of superior quality.
Crafted from Ugni Blanc grapes and matured with unparalleled care, this VSOP undergoes a unique aging process that starts in new oak casks for the first year, followed by a transition to old oak barrels aged 4 to 15 years. This meticulous process, extending up to ten years—far beyond the four-year minimum for a VSOP—ensures a Cognac of extraordinary suppleness and delicacy.
Presentation of the decanter
The Chateau de Montifaud XO Petite Champagne Cognac comes in a round decanter with a golden-colored stopper. It holds 500 ml of the precious eaux-de-vie and makes it a real eye-catcher for each cognac cabinet.
How to drink
The Chateau de Montifaud VSOP Petite Champagne Cognac shines both as a digestif and an aperitif. Its lively and floral character makes it an ideal companion for garden parties, summer wedding receptions, or tranquil evenings on the balcony. For a truly sublime experience, serve neat in tulip glasses at room temperature to savor its complexity and depth, or over ice to refresh and invigorate the palate.
About Château de Montifaud
Owned by the family Vallet for six generations, Chateau de Montifaud Cognac boasts 125 hectares of vineyards that are located in both the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne growing regions. The house produces a large, high quality range of cognacs – including various vintages from years that have had an exceptional harvest. One family tradition that Cognac Chateau Montifaud is proud to follow, is that of when a new baby boy is born to the head of the cognac house, that part of the cognac created from that year’s harvest is set to one side. This is kept for a varying number of years, but may only be sold by future generations.
