Description
Bache Gabrielsen Cask Collection Double Maturation
Bache Gabrielsen Cask Collection Double Maturation is a 100% Grande Champagne cru, limited edition Cognac boasting utmost finesse and refinement. Having first spent 7 years aging in French oak casks, it then finished the maturation process with an additional 45 months in very old Pineau des Charentes casks. The result unveils a subtle and fruity Cognac with sweet Pineau des Charentes notes, along with candied fruits and gingerbread nuances.
Bache Gabrielsen is a Cognac house currently run by Hervé Bache-Gabrielsen, the fourth generation to take the reins of the business. Embracing modern standards whilst remaining truthful to the brand’s traditional roots, Maison Bache Gabrielsen should be highly credited for its success. Today the brand stands as one of the most sought-after brands in Norway and other Scandinavian countries.
Presentation of the bottle
The bottle is dressed in a contemporary 500 ml decanter with smooth curves and clean lines – the bottle presents an overall minimal aesthetic that will fit in elegantly with other products in a spirits collection. Topped with a cork stopper, Bache Gabrielsen Cask Collection Double Maturation remains humble to tradition while conforming to modern standards in terms of design and appearance. With only 960 bottles available, this Cognac is an exclusive limited edition, and its presentation has been carefully crafted to honour such esteemed quality.
How to enjoy
Revealing subtly fruity nuances with the sweet influence of being aged in old Pineau des Charentes casks, this well-matured Cognac deserves to be appreciated in its purest form – neat, at room temperature. Alternatively, serve it on the rocks or topped up with a splash of decent tonic water.
About Bache Gabrielsen Cognac
Bache-Gabrielsen is a medium-sized family Cognac house with an international history. The company was created in 1905, and so it celebrated its 100th anniversary in the last few years. With its clean design, Cognac Bache-Gabrielsen takes an important position in the Cognac market, exporting mainly to Scandinavian countries. Hervé Bache-Gabrielsen, the fourth generation at the head of the company, is certainly aware that the Cognac industry is undergoing changes, with the international market being heavily developed and marketing strategies refined to cater for a younger, more fashionable consumer base. Given the size of the company compared to the major cognac houses, it is surprising to discover that this Norwegian cognac brand is the market leader in the sale of Cognac in Norway!
