The Maxime Trijol Vintage 1985 is a fine example of the house’s craft, where, like all true artisans, the makers opt for a deeply personal approach and oversee each step of creation from grape to glass. Just 480 of these individually numbered cognacs are in existence, making this distinguished millésime an excellent choice for a collector.
Each bottle has been aged for 29 years and is certified by the Bureau National Interprofessional du Cognac authorities, to guarantee an eau-de-vie of exceptional quality. This spirit is loved for its complexity, where bright botanical aromas are underscored by a nuttiness, which later develops into spicy and vanilla notes.
The Grande Champagne is what’s known as the ‘premier cru’ of the Cognac growth region, famed for producing the finest of grapes. This subregion benefits from a combination of three types of chalky soil and temperate climates that allow the grapes to flourish.

This cognac is best enjoyed neat at the end of a meal at about 20°C to 25°C (70° to 80°F).
About Maxime Trijol Cognac
With a history dating back to the mid-1800s, cognac Maxime Trijol not only produces eaux-de-vie from its own vineyards, but also purchases wine from other producers as well to be able to distil higher quantities. Five generations of family have kept the traditional methods of cognac production alive and well, and today they oversee every part of the cognac production. Because the estate purchases other distillers’ wine, they are able to produce a wide range of cognacs from a variety of growing areas in the Cognac region.
