Growth area & soil: Grande Champagne
Pasquet L'Organic Folle Blanche L.X. Cognac
Pasquet L’Organic Folle Blanche Lot X stands out as a unique and one-of-a-kind offering as it is the only 100% organic and 100% Folle Blanche Cognac produced from eau-de-vie of Grande Champagne.
Renowned for its rolling hills and beaming summer’s sun, the Premier Cru boasts chalky-clay soils – prime for producing the Cognac region’s best grapes. Typically, the Ugni Blanc grape variety is widely used to create eaux-de-vie, however small patches of land are reserved for more rare varieties including Folle Blanche.
With complex flavors that contrast both sweet and spicy to pure perfection, Pasquet L’Organic Folle Blanche L.X. Cognac certainly packs a punch. As you immerse the senses in the tasting, blissful fragrances of menthol, musk, Mirabelle plums, peaches, sandalwood and orange zest set the tasting alight before the eaux-de-vie has even passed your lips. Next, the silky nuances of honey prevail on the palate – with further hints of Mirabelle plums and spices.
Having aged for more than 10 years, this single-vintage Cognac promises a tasting experience like no other and is a true treat for those looking to experience the natural wonders of organic Cognac.
Since 1998, all cognacs made by this traditional, artisanal house have had the honor of holding 'Agricultural Biologique' status – France’s official certification for organic produce, which is certainly not easy to come by. The label is only awarded to products that are entirely organic – and Pasquet Cognac pride themselves in their ability to uphold every condition required of this status, producing high-quality cognacs that are in complete harmony with Mother Nature.
Presentation of the bottle
Revealing the Cognacs elegant light amber color, Pasquet L’Organic Folle Blanche L.X. Cognac is presented in a modern and authentic decanter that sets it apart from other notoriously classic decanter designs. With a leafy illustration off-setting the label, the bottle itself beautifully epitomises its organic roots that anchor the brand to stand proud as producers in a league of their own. Finished with black and gold finer details including the bottle stopper and typology, this bottle embodies sophistication down to every last detail.
How to enjoy
A top-quality Cognac like this one should be enjoyed neat or on the rocks. Top up with organic tonic water for a summer time aperitif or serve as a flavorful digestive on its own – following a hearty meal with guests.
Translated from French:
The nose is fresh, herbaceous and spicy; The palate continues these aromas but with less lemon and pepper and more sweet spices with stone fruits, however I can’t say exactly, perhaps in the next tasting...; The finish is round, more floral and honeyed
About Pasquet Cognac
Certified organic Cognac house Pasquet perfectly strikes the balance between the warmth of family tradition and innovative savoir-faire. In order to revive a plot of vines during the 1990s, the Pasquet family reached deep into their ancestral history to rediscover its organic farming methods. It was here that they found a beautiful equilibrium not only in the ecosystem of their vines, but also in the Cognacs themselves. Since being awarded ‘Agriculture Biologique’ status in 1998, they haven’t looked back, continuing to craft small-batch Cognacs that epitomize natural beauty and balance. With versatile ranges such as ‘L’Organic’ and ‘Esprit de la Famille,’ the Pasquet family ensures that every step of production respects the environment, resulting in a very special collection of Cognacs.
