Produced in collaboration with Adam Caron, a bartender and manager of “Les Marquises bar and restaurant” in Bordeaux, this Cognac was curated with mixology in mind. With the creative support of Adam Caron, this blend is a distinguishing 65% cask strength Cognac boasting highly intense aromas. An innovative and unconventional bar Cognac with a unique aromatic concentration.
With a rich family history closely associated with the history of France, Abel Planat founded the brand in Cognac back in 1828. Renowned for the role he played in the town of Cognac’s development; during his tenure as mayor, he developed the town’s first public drinking water system. Then to follow in his father’s footsteps, Oscar Planat took the reins of the company and further burnished its international reputation. He was both a member of parliament and mayor of Cognac and he is still fondly remembered for having embellished the town with its gorgeous public park. Today the brand lives on with a range of Cognac delights targeted at both amateurs and professionals of mixology.
Displayed in an all black bottle, the color of the Cognac inside cannot be seen until the product has been poured. Easy on the eye however, the Cognac sparkles with hints of golden glints reflecting through its light yellow coloring. A user-friendly packaging specially developed for mixology. The bottle for the Overproof is thoughtfully crafted with Adam Caron’s requirement of a bottle with a longer neck for better grip when working at a bar. The package is made to be cooperative with bartenders pouring process and therefore has a capacity of 75cl, whilst only containing 70cl of Cognac.
