Grosperrin N°67 Petite Champagne Cognac
The Grosperrin N°67 Petite Champagne Cognac stands as a paragon of finesse. Originating from the sun-drenched slopes of Archiac and aged by the tranquil banks of the Né, this 40.7% ABV spirit is a true masterpiece of subtlety and sophistication. With at least 37 years of maturation, this 'monster of elegance' boasts a supple mouthfeel, a velvety touch, and an enduring finish. Adorned with a beautiful rancio, it's not just a great cognac; it's almost a treasure.
Presentation of the Bottle
The Grosperrin N°67 Petite Champagne Cognac is presented in a bottle that speaks volumes of its heritage and class. The bottle's design, with its clean lines and elegant label, is a nod to the simplicity and purity of the spirit it encases. It's a design that respects its contents, serving as a dignified vessel for a cognac that is as much a piece of art as it is a beverage.
How to drink
This exquisite cognac invites a moment of pause, a time to savor with respect for the years it has spent reaching its peak. Enjoy it neat, in a proper snifter, slightly warmed by the hand to release its full bouquet of aromas. Each sip should be approached as an encounter with the sublime, a chance to experience the legacy of Petite Champagne's terroir. It's a cognac that deserves your undivided attention, a silent conversation between the drinker and the drink, between the now and the then.
About Grosperrin Cognac
The independent Cognac house of Grosperrin is a relatively new one in the region, having only been established in 1999 by its founder, Jean Grosperrin. Grosperrin is based in Saintes which sits between the terroirs of Fins Bois and Borderies and it is today run by Jean’s son, Guilhelm, who took over in 2004 at just 23 years old.
Guilhelm’s mission is to discover producers all across the region in order to create truly unique Cognacs from the six crus. This vision was made possible by the fantastic relationships Jean Grosperrin built with producers, and that Guilhelm has since built on and expanded. Today, Grosperrin works with over 150 Cognac producers, from which Guilhelm will meticulously select barrels to craft into exquisite end bottles.
