Nose: striking, with an oxidative character reminiscent of macerated whites.

Palate: straight, vertical, almost on the minerality. Then the light flavors of nuts and roasted almonds bring a welcome reference point. Immediately overwhelmed by a sharp finish, with an acidic persistence and a slight bitterness.

Description

A striking gustatory whirlwind! Powerful, smooth, deep. Thunder is certainly a sake with a marked personality. A complex sake, which cannot be tamed as easily as easily as it seems.

Tonnerre Sake is a sake aged for one year in a vat after fermentation. Its powerful body and acidity, characteristic of traditional sakes, opens up to pronounced nutty notes, while its rich umami content gives it a roundness and an exceptional length in the mouth.

It is a medium dry to dry sake originating from Tamasakae rice. It can be enjoyed at various temperatures ranging from 5 to 70°. It is a unique tasting experience at any temperature.
