Color: Full gold.

Nose: Green oranges, vetiver, ylang-ylang, old roses, and orange blossom. Hints of raisins, peaches, and a touch of honey. The addition of water brings out rounder notes, including fir honey, propolis, and a subtle hint of argan oil, adding depth to the nose.

Palate: Dominant flavors include liquorice and orange zest, accompanied by tobacco and oak. Upon adding water, the palate evolves, with orange blossom honey taking the lead, complemented by the richness of baklavas and panettone. A controlled oak presence, reminiscent of black tea, provides a balanced background.

Finish: The finish is long and introduces a spicier dimension, with cloves, tea, and cigars marking their presence. A lingering note of oranges provides a refreshing and elegant closure, tying back to the initial citrus theme. The interplay between the oak and magnificent oranges maintains a harmonious balance, ensuring a memorable tasting experience.

Description

Pasquet Symphonie des Terroirs N°1 Cognac

Introducing Pasquet Symphonie des Terroirs N°1 Cognac, a unique masterpiece and the very first multi-cru Cognac from the distinguished house of Pasquet. This exquisite spirit is a tribute to an ambitious project initiated by Jean-Luc Pasquet and his fellow Vigneron Indépendant colleagues in the 1990s, in which Jean-Luc acted as the master blender.

This special Cognac is a blend of:

  • 50% Petite Campagne 88 and 83
  • 40% Bons Bois 99
  • 5% Fins Bois 68-72
  • 5% Grande Champagne 79

The final blend was made on the 01/09/2022. There was no reduction made and it was bottles on the 24/02/2023.

The conception of this noteworthy Cognac has a captivating backstory. Two years ago, Jean-Luc gifted a case of the original project's yield, which sparked the inspiration to create a cognac honoring that collective initiative. To replicate that experience, Pasquet sourced eaux de vie from the same revered crus - Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Fins Bois, and Bons Bois. Through meticulous work and unwavering dedication, Pasquet has crafted this blend, resulting in their first multicrus Cognac.

Named "Confluences : Symphonie des Terroirs N°1," the Cognac stands as a testament to the producers' group led by Jean-Luc Pasquet in the late 1990s. This name reflects the union of various terroirs, each contributing its unique notes to the symphony of flavors.

The producer's group:

  • Edgard Fourcade (from Le Pin)
  • Cognac Pineau Juillard (from Pérignac)
  • Gousseland P. & Fils (Saint-Rémy)
  • Jean-Marie Vallaeys (from Montguyon)
  • Francis Motard (from Salignac-de-Mirambeau)
  • C. & J. Landreau (from Salles-d'Angles)

And, of course, Jean-Luc Pasquet himself. His son Jean has now blended this unique piece of history.

Boasting an impressive average age of 31 years, as signified by the batch number L.31Y, this Cognac exemplifies fine aging. With only 534 bottles available, each 500ml bottle of Pasquet Symphonie des Terroirs N°1 Cognac is a rare find. Packaged at an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 50.6%, it promises a robust, full-bodied experience.

Pasquet Symphonie des Terroirs N°1 is a Cognac shaped by a rich blend of history, dedication, and artisanal craftsmanship. Taste the essence of time-honored tradition and join in the symphony of terroirs.

About Pasquet Cognac

Certified organic Cognac house Pasquet perfectly strikes the balance between the warmth of family tradition and innovative savoir-faire. In order to revive a plot of vines during the 1990s, the Pasquet family reached deep into their ancestral history to rediscover its organic farming methods. It was here that they found a beautiful equilibrium not only in the ecosystem of their vines, but also in the Cognacs themselves. Since being awarded ‘Agriculture Biologique’ status in 1998, they haven’t looked back, continuing to craft small-batch Cognacs that epitomize natural beauty and balance. With versatile ranges such as ‘L’Organic’ and ‘Esprit de la Famille,’ the Pasquet family ensures that every step of production respects the environment, resulting in a very special collection of Cognacs.
