Description
Tesseron Extra Légende
Tesseron Extra Légende Cognac has been created from a blend of around 50 of the House’s finest eaux-de-vie from the premier cru of Grande Champagne. This intriguing Cognac has built its complexity through the use of both Ugni Blanc and also Folle Blance grapes in its production, the latter of which is a rarity in Cognac today. The eaux-de-vie have also spent their time maturing for a generation in cellars of different humidity levels, yet adding more multiplicity to this elegant spirit.
Founded in 1905 by Abel Tesseron, the Tesseron House has become renowned for its excellence. Genuine collectors of rare and century-old spirits with unique finesse, the family perfectly combines the experience and knowledge passed down through its generations with a flair for innovation that results in legendary cognacs. This Cognac, which is part of Tesseron’s Signature Collection, is yet another extraordinary example of their mastery.
Presentation:
This exquisite Cognac comes in a robust, yet elegant decanter which features a beautiful gold colour stopper. The label is adorned with delicate embellishment that mimics the luminous amber shade of the spirit. At the bottom of the decanter is an elegant engraving of Abel Tesseron’s signature, reminding us of the legend himself.
The decanter comes presented in a grand golden and chocolate coloured box, also featuring decorative work and information about the brand.
How to enjoy:
Serve neat after dinner at a temperature of between 18 and 20 degrees.

Unique
A crystalline rose copper in the glass. The nose is slow to develope, warm, but slightly sharp with both fruit and floral notes. The taste is fruity and complex, but not sweet, burnt spices perhaps, the influence of the folle blanche makes for a unique flavor blend. The finish is long and very ...
Pure elegance
This is a Grande Champagne aged for about a generation, that means around 30 years. So it is a rather young cognac. It is also a blend of several eau de vies. This cognac is very nice looking with a oily and golden look. There are clear tears on the glass. On the nose, you will find a fruity expression...
About Tesseron Cognac
Tesseron Cognac specializes in high-end Cognac, exclusively producing “XO and beyond” blends from their ancestral home in Chateauneuf-sur-Charente, which lies between Cognac and Angouleme. When founder Abel Tesseron, whose face features on the company’s logo, acquired the property in the late 19th century, he patiently conserved his stocks of eaux-de-vie in the 12th-century crypt located deep underneath the domain, selling his matured masterpieces to various larger Cognac houses. These reserved and rare stocks have become legendary amongst Cognac connoisseurs the world over. It was, however, only in 2003 that the fourth generation of Tesserons made the decision to release a range under their own name, armed with an unrivalled Cognac craftsmanship and fueled by the legacy left by their grandfather, the iconic brand Tesseron Cognac was born.
The Tesserons are also active in wine production, owning the esteemed Chateau Pontet-Canet, a Pauillac classified property producing Grand Cru Classé Bordeaux Wine.
