Growth area & soil: Grande Champagne
Exploring the Grande Champagne: a François Voyer Tasting Set
This quality François Voyer Tasting Set consists of a VSOP, a Napoléon and an XO Cognac, each in a 20 cl bottle. Each bottle represents a different blend of eaux-de-vie sourced from the Grand Champagne growing region, also known as the Premier Cru.
The bottles included are:
François Voyer VSOP: This delightful VSOP Cognac has been matured for 6 to 14 years to express the most delicate floral notes typical of the Grande Champagne terroir. With its notes of lime, jasmine and dried florals dominating over a base of apricot and vanilla, this is a flawless expression that will impress any Cognac lover.
Francois Voyer Napoléon: French oak barrels from the Limousin, Bercée, Gâvre and Reno Valdieu forests, stored in both damp and dry cellars, have been used to great effect with the Francois Voyer Napoléon Cognac. Aged for between 10 and 20 years, the result is a bouquet of rose, jasmine and carnation followed by hints of soft peach and plum - all laid over a foundation of old wood.
François Voyer XO: The François Voyer XO Grande Champagne Cognac is a blend of eaux-de-vie aged between 10 and 25 years. Only high-acidity Ugni Blanc grapes have been used for this blend, giving it a fantastic fruity structure. After decades of waiting, the components of this Cognac have come together in a fabulous symphony of orchard fruit notes complemented by oak and vanilla.
