Cognac meets Fashion
Cognac meets Fashion
Paris Fashion Week is nearly upon us. So while the runways in Paris gear up to become the center of attention in the fashion world, we thought why not light up our own runaways to shine the spotlight on Cognac’s most stylish decanters.
Imagine this (yes, our minds wander at times): You’re in a dark humid cellar used for the aging of Cognac. The floors are moist dirt and the walls and ceilings have the torula black mold crawling up all sides. All of sudden a fashion runway unfolds in the chai, letting the stunning decanters show off what’s latest and the greatest. Joking aside, now’s as good a time as any to showcase these beautifully crafted Cognacs, all of which are presented in stylish decanters.
We all love the simple craftsmanship of a Cognac in a standard 70cl bottle, but we have no problem letting our eyes and palates feast on these stunning decanter creations. Enjoy!

Inspiring!
While my father introducing me to cognac may have started the embers smoldering Ferrand S.D.A. is what turned those embers into a roaring fire. My wife and I were out to dinner in Boston when I noticed they had cognac on the menu. they ranged in price from fairly reasonable to downright obscene....
High Quality And A Steal On Price
Maison Ferrand are known for pushing the boundaries and experimenting, but this expression shows that they also know how to keep it traditional, too. For a Cognac that's blended with 25-35 year old eau-de-vie, this shows rancio incredibly well and much better than other major brands in this same category....
Best cognac for under $200
Discovering and fine tuning your palate with respect to Cognacs as you at the same time match the exciting process with memories is indeed a fascinating venture. Here goes mine. Although rather fine tasting experiences, throughout the years none of the "commercial" brands (comparables under $200.00...
5 stars all the way
I purchased this bottle on this website and love it. Compared to other cognacs at the same price - you cannot even compare! The 30 years of oak barrel really make a difference, spectacular value for money. One of my favorites (i have about 30 bottles in my cabinet).

Nose: Begins with candied fruits, apricots, figs, evolving to mango compote, ripe apples, then to pastry aromas, custard, and orange blossom. Finishes on fresh wood and cigar box notes.
Palate: Light tannin dominated by very ripe fruit for a natural sweet roundness, with a slightly toasted hint towards the end.
Finish: Exhibiting light rancio, retaining all its fruit and freshness for a sweet and silky finish.

Easy drinking
This is top of their ordinary range, only the Heritage is older. This is a very dark cognac. It is a bit shy on the nose, it takes time to get the aromas out of the glass. Then you can find tones of vanilla, fruit and some elegant wood. It is quite smooth in the mouth, you can find hints of spices...
My review for Bertrand XO Decanter
would personally score this up market cognac 94/100. Smooth on the palate is an under statement. the finish is long, very long indeed. great array of fruitiness, rate 4/5 average amount of spices, rate 2/5( which is not a a bad thing) very slight floral notes, rate 1/5 ( which is not a a bad...
Outstanding Cognac
Just a lovely nose, with dried fruits, and a little vanilla and wood spice. I want to crawl into the glass!!! The palate is alive with dried and candied fruits, some kind of nut, and a hint of chocolate? The finish is extremely long, and so pleasing. Great balance from the nose throughout the...

A steal for the money
Andre Petit Extra is a blend of Petite Champagne and Fins Bois, has an average age of 20 YR, and includes 35 YR old. The nose is soft with some fruit and a little spice. After several minutes, some light rancio appears. The palate brings much more spiciness, and a little more wood influence than most...
Blind tasted
So I actually did an XO blind tasting and this cognac came in 2nd with 6 other Cognacs. But wait: This is an Extra Cognac, so it's technically older than an XO. Lovely nose, balanced palate and the after taste is pretty nice & rather dry. I'd say pretty remarkable pricing for what it is - and of...
A real find
Soft and round on the nose, very pleasant. On first sip it's an exciting taste, that then mellows and becomes more spicy. The aftertaste is lengthy and really enjoyable. A great old Cognac that, especially when compared to others of this caliber, offers incredible value for money

Nose: A delicate bouquet with incredible complexity. The rancio intermingles with the aromas of earthy undergrowth, vanilla and old prune.
Palate: On the palate, discover the pleasure of a prestigious Cognac that is superbly round and smooth. The rancio is certainly apparent. It is smooth, yet vivacious.

Sublime cadeau
Ma meilleure amie vient de me l' offrir pour mon anniversaire. Quel produit incroyable. La carafe est Magnifique et son emballage très féminin. Le melange floral est subtile avec une très belle palette de sensations qui incarne l'art de l'excellence... BRAVO.

Nose: Delightfully light and unusual floral aromas.
Palate: Embark on a journey which initiates with iris and violets. The liquid reveals itself further, giving you a warm wave of sensations that will waltz across your palate. Notes of orange confit and crème brulée come to mind. The complexity of the Grande Champagne terroir delivers warming hints of cinnamon and baking spices. Each sip takes you deeper into the experience, and peaks with a crescendo long after the final drop.

Godet XO Terre
A pleasant Cognac with a light footprint. Some might call it delicate. The focus is on the fruit and the cleanliness of its delivery. No oak bomb here. No rancio bomb here either. This is a Cognac of light gentle spice, clean pure fresh fruits, and nice grace. Sure, it could use a little more oomph...
